He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Shelton and Hazel Shelton; and his brother Keith Shelton. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Shelton of Linden, Texas; his children, Paul Shelton (Jennifer) of Genoa, Kelly Shelton (Melissa) of Freeport, Florida and Karen Seagroves (Kevin) of Linden, Texas; his brother James Lee Yancey of Brownsville, Texas; and his aunt Sue May of Linden, Texas. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
