Sammy Wayne touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carter and Imogean Grantland (Davidson); his stepfather Dan Gallup; his grandparents, Curby, Bessie Davidson, Archie Grantland and Lula Wallace; and his sister Debbie Grant.

He is survived by: his siblings, Johnny Paul Grantland, Johnny Eugene Grantland, David Grantland, Timothy Grant, Carol Smith, Liz Sanchez, Pam Granados, Lisa Lenington and Amanda Romo. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and numerous other loving family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 27th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home (206 W South St, Lindale, TX 75771). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home Chapel (206 W South St, Lindale, TX 75771).
