She was predeceased by: her parents, Cosby Ray and Ocie Algerine Melvin (Munn); her husband Raymond Phillips; her daughters, Jana Kirkpatrick and Kelly Hales Bridges; and her siblings, Neva Ann Malone and Kenneth Melvin.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Beth Beck (Brandon) of Tomball, Whitney Tunnell (David) of Lindale, Kelcie Coote of Waveland and Laura Kirkpatrick (Hairl Lewis) of Waveland, Mississippi; her great grandchildren, Brinlee, Bryker, Grayson, Emmalee, Michael, Millee and Kynadee; and her brothers, Doug Melvin (Ruth) of Lindale and Joe Melvin (Lynda) of Alba. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home (206 W South St, Lindale, TX 75771). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
