It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Platt (Lindale, Texas), who passed away on December 25, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, LeeBell Gamblin of Amarillo and Marion Vernon Platt of Borger; his siblings, Thomas Platt of Dale, Earline Broaddus and Geraldine Platt of Amarillo; and his children, Sandra Platt of Borger and Vernon Steven Platt of Tyler.
He is survived by: his wife Freda of Tyler; his siblings, Paul Platt of Amarillo and Delores Reid of Logan, NM; and his children, Randy Platt of Tyler, Phillip Platt of Amarillo, Carol Staton of Bristow, OK and Laura Lancaster of Tyler. He is also survived by his 17 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren.
