He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Edward and Minnie Zelma Harris (Smith); and his sister Merdith Joy Smith. He is survived by: his siblings, Howard Harris (Carolyn) of New Harmony, Texas, Glenn Harris (Ann) of New Harmony, Texas and Kay Newton (Walter) of Flower Mound, Texas; and his goddaughters, Amy Patterson and Rhonda Slaton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
