He was predeceased by: his parents, Annie Mae DeRossitt and Robert William Barnett. He is survived by: his wife Mary Barnett; his children, Emily Barnett of Huntsville, AL, Melanie Froman of Houston, TX, Lindsey Beck of Tyler, TX and Charles Barnett; and his grandchildren, Colin Rushton, Sean Rushton, Blaine Harrison, Jake Harrison, Caed Herrera, Mason Beck and Mayzee Beck.

Visitation was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (1617 Shiloh Rd, Tyler, TX 75703). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
