He is survived by: his son Hunter Gavin Benson of Lindale; his parents-in-law, Garry and Sarah Thompson of Lindale; his close friend Memphis Mendoza of Lindale; his siblings, Duwayne Benson (Angela) of Bullard, Laura Jean Laughlin (Jerry) of Tyler and Lana Michelle Artega (Abel) of Tyler; his nephew Jacob Artega of Tyler; and his niece Jessica (Loren Benson). He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
