He was predeceased by: his parents, Lamonte Carmichael and Genoris Elizabeth Carmichael (Lacaze). He is survived by: his wife Carol Carmichael of Lindale, Texas; his children, Carl, Rodney Carmichael of Ohio and Candy Kay Burkhamer (Ron) of Ohio; and his stepdaughters, Paulette Alderman (Doug) of Iowa, Heather Messina (Joseph) of Virginia and Shelly Schiappa (John) of Virginia. He is also survived by 2 brothers; 1 sister; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of East Texas or to the Alzheimer's Association.
