It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Billy W. Abbott formerly of Lindale, Texas, born in Blossom, Texas, who passed away on May 31, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Arnold Abbott and Exie Idel Cockran; and his siblings, J. C. Abbott, James Abbott, Gary Abbott, Betty Janvier, Syble Puffer and Mary Asmus.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Abbott; his sons, Marc Abbott (Kristi) of Midland and Wade Abbott (Chanda) of Friendswood, Texas; his grandchildren, Joseph, Mackenzi, Madison and Callie; and his siblings, Ann Brazeal and Donald Abbott. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family has designated the Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas, Texas or charity of your choice for memorial contributions.
