He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Larry and Grey Elizabeth Mims (Poole); and his siblings, Albert Larry Mims, Chester Boyd Mims (Bobby), Julia (Judy) and Marie Lollar (Mims).
He is survived by: his wife Linda Sue Mims (Martin) of Lindale; his children, Alton Ray Mims (Stacey Renee Acosta) of Dallas, Texas and Diana Carol Tave (Caryliss) of Lindale, Texas; and his siblings, Jimmie Lee Mims of Amarillo, Virginia Ann Hicks (Mims) of Amarillo and Linda Sue Borel (Mims) of Amarillo. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
