It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Blackmon Sr. of Lindale, Texas, born in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, who passed away on August 7, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Harold and Modena Blackmon (Lamar); his wife Virginia Blackmon; his children, Robert Blackmon and Doris Louceil Blackmon; and his siblings, Harold Blackmon, Lucy Nunnery and Joyce Biggs.
He is survived by: his son Billy; his daughter-in-law Kathleen Blackmon of San Antonio, Texas; his children, Ginger Arnold of Lindale, Texas and Patrick; his daughter-in-law Dale Blackmon of Georgetown, Texas; his daughter Dina; his son-in-law Mitch Semones of Thurmand; his sister Maretta Blackmon of Mississippi; his grandchildren, Joshua Blackmon, Jacob Blackmon, Mark Thornton Jr., Payton Arnold, Christina Blackmon, Patrick Hagins Blackmon, Jr. and Andi Turner; and his great grandchildren, Ryan Blackmon, Lincoln Blackmon, Abigail Blackmon, Ryleigh Blackmon, Landon Blackmon, Mykel Thornton, McKinley Thornton, Freyja Thornton and Alexandra Thornton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
