He was predeceased by: his parents, William Paul Walther and Hattie Amanda Walther (Symmank); his former wife Darlene Jatzlau Walther; his brothers, Eddie Walther and Elmo Walther (Bernice); his parents-in-law, Herbert, Dora Jatzlau, George and Edna Kieschnick; and his brothers-in-law, Herbert Biehle, Edwin Lerche, Paul Krause, Leon Dube, Ronnie Akin and Elmon Gruetzner.
He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Walther of Lincoln; his children, Byron Walther (Kristina) of Victoria, Barry Walther (Susan) of Loebau, Belinda Silva (Johnnie) of Giddings and Brandice "Brandy" Gross (Aaron) of Fayetteville; his grandchildren, Thomas Walther (Laura) of Knoxville, TN, Chloe Cavazos (James) of Victoria, Britani Walther of Victoria, Jordan Walther of Loebau, Blake Walther of Loebau, Brent Hass (Allison Kaiser) of Giddings, SP, Cayden Haas of Leesville, LA, Khye Silva of Giddings, Taylor Leer (Josh) of Winchester, Reid Gross of Fayetteville, Miranda Gross of Fayetteville and Brynlee Haas of Giddings; his great grandchildren, Eloise Cavazos of Victoria, Macey Walther of Knoxville, TN, Blakely Leer of Winchester and K. J. Leer of Winchester; his siblings, Edna Gruetzner of Kerrville, Bernie Symank (Herman) of Houston, Meta Krause of Picayune, MS, Della Mae Biehle of Lexington, Carolyn Friedrich (Nelson) of Lincoln and Elton "Sonkey" Walther (Betty) of Lincoln; his siblings-in-law, Lynette Patschke (Calvin) of Lincoln, Joyce Truett (Steve) of Colorado Springs, Laverne Akin of College Station, Rev. Clyde Kieschnick (Ellen) of Abilene, Mike Kieschnick (Janet) of Terrell, Johnny Kieschnick (Brenda) of Lincoln and Fritz Kieschnick (Mary) of Lincoln; and also, Jason and Kim Haas of Giddings. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
