With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elton John Walther of Lincoln, Texas, who passed away on May 7, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilhelm "Willie" Walther and Hedwig "Hattie" Walther (Symmank); his grandson Colby Walther; his sisters, Edna Gruetzner (Elmon) and Elsie Jatzlau Gruetzner; his brothers-in-law, Ervin Jatzlau and Marvin "Smokey" Gruetzner; his brothers, Eddie Walther, Elmo Walther (Bernice) and Billy Walther; his brothers-in-law, Paul Krause, Herman Symank, Herbert Biehle, Nelson Friedrich, George Iselt (Joyce) and Edmund Iselt (Bernice); and his parents-in-law, Louis and Frieda Iselt.
He is survived by: his child Sonkey; his wife Betty Jean Lucille Walther of Lincoln; his children, Brenda Kieschnick (Johnny) of Lincoln, Michael Walther (Julie) of Sonora, Felicia Poston (Jessie) of Lexington and Jonathan "Jon" Walther (Stephanie) of Lincoln; his grandchildren, Priscilla Plumlee (Brandon) of Lincoln, Jason Kieschnick (Carrie) of Giddings, Sabian Walther (Stacy) of Ledbetter, Kasey Walther (Tiffany) of Round Rock, Sheridan Walther of San Antonio, Tyler Walther of College Station, Jacob Poston of San Marcos, Toye Walther of Lincoln and Wyatt Walther of Lincoln; his great grandchildren, Cora Plumlee of Lincoln, Aspen Plumlee of Lincoln, Delaney Walther of Ledbetter, Skylar Walther of Ledbetter, Tristan Walther of Round Rock and Jayden Walther of Round Rock; his sisters, Meta Krause of Mississippi, Bernie Symank of Houston, Della Mae Biehle of Lexington and Carolyn Friedrich of Lincoln; and his sisters-in-law, Jennifer Walther of Lincoln and Hattie Schulze (Monroe). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church in Lincoln, the Alzheimer Foundation, or to the charity of one's choice.
