He was predeceased by: his parents, Volney R. Hylton, Sr. and Fay Alva Anderson Hylton; and his siblings, Roy Hylton, Elizabeth Hylton, Margie Liddell and Lucille Tyler.
He is survived by: his wife Carrie Jean Hylton; his children, Janet Gail Guido (Carmen), David Waylon Hylton (Jada) and Deborah Faye Forney; and his grandchildren, Lance Gibson (April), Jared Gibson, Angeline Guido Hall (John), Bree Hylton, Logan Hylton, Carly Moreno (Juan) and Alexis Hylton. He is also survived by other loving family members, and friends.
