He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Gates and Derrick Gates (Natalie); his sister Eliza Guidry (Albert); his grandchildren, Fredrick (Aya), Destanie, Tyler, Cameron and Lauren; and his great grandchildren, Kacey and Isaiah. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
