She was predeceased by: her parents, Waymon Sanders and Almeda Rosie Sanders; and her significant other Richard Campbell. She is survived by: her children, Candice Hawthorne (Edward), Brandon Shaw (Whitney) and Rachele Ross (Jeremy); and her sisters, Deborah Collins (Fred) and Becky Smith. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
