She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucien Deculus and Armentine LaChapelle (Blanche); her sister Felicia Deculus; her son Michael Monroe; and her granddaughter Nekiesha Monroe.

She is survived by: her husband Henke Nauriece Monroe; and her daughter Marilyn Roberts (James). She is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
