With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Alice Winfrey Murphy (Liberty, Texas), born in Daisetta, Texas, who passed away on June 18, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie Mae (McCormack) and Lemuel L. Winfrey; her husband Dwight Murphy; her brother Jack D. Winfrey; her sister-in-law Doris Winfrey; and her goddaughter Linda Woods Bartell.
She is survived by: her daughter Lauren Murphy; her son-in-law Michael Baker of Spring, Texas; her grandchildren, Logan Baker of Austin, Texas, Callie Baker of College Station and Cade Baker of Spring, Texas.; her sister-in-law Rena Cooper (Murphy) of Irving, Texas; and her nieces, Joan Winfrey Seoni (Vik), Joy Winfrey of Covington, Louisiana, Julie Winfrey Cummings (Greg) of Fairhope, Alabama, Lisa Jenkins (Bill) of Irving, Texas and Lori Halepaska (Neil) of Irving, Texas. She is also survived by two great nephews and two great nieces.
