He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Welch; his children, Dana Pittman (Mark), David Welch (Michelle) and Paul Welch (Jessica); his grandchildren, Codi Davis (Brad), Zach Welch (Allison), Josh Welch (McKenzie), Haily Trotter (Kenny), Olivia Welch, Carley Welch, Chloe Welch, Carter Welch, Payden Counts (Piper) and Tatum Counts; and his great grandchildren, Asher, Raelynn, Micah, Raine, Dawson, Riley, Landon, Pyper, Vivianne, McKayl, Quincy, Meredith and Jaxson.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the North Main Baptist Church (4709 N Main St, Liberty, TX 77575). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at the Cooke Memorial Cemetery (1906 Lakeland Dr, Liberty, TX 77575).
