She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Baldwin and Atlawyer Baldwin; her husband Elodgie Vick Gants; and her siblings, Fred Antoine, Clarence, Melvin Baldwin, Lee Anna Smith, Theresa Tiggs, Sara Lee Mosley and Dorothy Mae Bellard.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Evelyn Brooks (Thad Cartwright), Rita Faye Edwards of Houston, TX and Jeanette Louise Davis (Leo); and her grandchildren, Marladette Turner (James), Tiffany Jackson (Lyric), Destinie (Bruce) of Washington, Lonnie Edwards Jr. of Houston, TX, Emmanuel Edwards Sr. (Michelle), Malia Davis of Houston, TX, Avery Davis of Waco, TX, Thad Cartwright III (Adja), Tonez Cartwright (Mechiko) and Theddeus Cartwright of Houston, TX.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
