He is survived by: his wife Florine Swaim; his children, Kathy Swaim, Shelley Swaim, Julie Poe, Sy Saxton (Nikki) and Stacy Saxton (Amy); and his brother Tedrow Swaim, Jr. (Karen). He is also survived by his eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations in Byron's memory to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital or Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
