He was predeceased by: his wife Liz; his sons, Richard McAvoy and William Neal McAvoy; and his grandchildren, Amanda Abbitt and Michael Scott.
He is survived by: his children, Timothy McAvoy, Patricia Scott and Lisa Coyle (Albert); his grandchildren, Jeremy Abbitt (Veronica), Sara Hardman (Chris), Amy Welcher (Randy), Todd Roberts-McAvoy (Brittany) and Morgan McAvoy; and his great grandchildren, Peyton of Tyler, CJ, Colton, Charlotte, Reilly, Gracelynn, Quinnlyn, Lincoln, Ryan and Parker.
