He was predeceased by: his former wife Dorothy Ann Barrett; and his son Nelson David Barrett. He is survived by: his daughter Carolann Barrett (Donna) of Cambridge, MA; his daughter-in-law Joyce Barrett of Wilton, CT; his grandson Luke Barrett of Seattle, WA; and his stepdaughters, Ria Van Fossen (Martin) and Margaret Sanna (Mark).
