He is survived by: his children, Joaquin M. Avila (Angela) and Mary D. McClure (Keith); his grandchildren, Clinton and Susanne McClure; and his siblings, Alfredo Avila, Roberto Avila, Vicente Avila, Ramiro Avila, Florentino and Maria Louisa Avila. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.
