It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Floyd Reid (Liberty Hill, Texas), born in Cherokee, Texas, who passed away on May 29, 2018, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his sons, James "Burton" Reid and Charles Lynn "Bugger" Reid; his parents, James Burton Reid and Frances Jane Reid; his siblings, Addie Mae Bowman, Lorene Ward (Emory), Shots Reid (Mary), Robert Reid, Harmon Reid (Ola Mae), Joe Reid, Mack Reid (Ruby), Ernest Reid (Lucille), Dave Reid (Nic), Jim Williard "Red" Reid and Raymond Reid; his parents-in-law, James Hollis and Lillian Hollis; and his siblings-in-law, Eloise Richardson (Elmer), Nelda Burton and Jamie Hollis.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley L. Reid of Liberty Hill; his sons, Billy Reid (Sandi) of Lovelady, Frank Reid of Liberty Hill and Randy Reid (Delisa) of Liberty Hill; his daughters-in-law, Colleen Reid of Lovelady and Dianne Reid of Holly; his siblings-in-law, Beth Reid of Houston, Jessie Hollis (Cathey) of Terre Haute, IN, Doug Hollis (Beverly) of Latexo and Wayne Hollis (Janice) of Percilla; and his niece Jody King. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews.
