She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Brown and Frances Brown; her parents-in-law, Metha and John Huettel; and her siblings, Bernice Brown Francis, Conrad Brown, Donald Brown, Joyce Brown, Margaret Brown Hooper, Odell Brown and Rodney Brown.

She is survived by: her children, Scott Huettel (Lisa) of Chapel Hill, Eric Huettel of Lexington and Holly Huettel of Giddings; her brother Mark Brown; and her grandchildren, Elissa Huettel and Nicholas Huettel. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
