He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Stence and Nettie Stence (Horton); his siblings, Carrie Lois (Ural Wells), Hazel (Dow Chesnut), Roy (Myrtle Stence), Henry (Stella Stence) and Barney (Marilyn Stence); and his grandson Matthew Stence.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Stence of Lexington; his children, Tim (Glenda Stence), Robert (Jennifer Stence) and Theresa Stence of Lexington; and his granddaughters, Amanda Cage of Thrall, Heather (Carlos Watson), Sarah (Chris Danna) and Ellen Stence of Denver. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Memorials may be made to St. James Lutheran Church in Lexington or to the charity of one's choice.
