With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melanie Hester of Lexington, Texas, born in Corpus Christi, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 16, 2024 at the age of 76. She was predeceased by: her father Gerald McKinzie; her husband Nick Hester; her mother Ruth Blythe McKinzie (Blythe); her brother Gerry Don McKinzie; and her grandchildren, Christopher Bristow and Madison Bristow.
She is survived by: her children, Gerilyn Hibbler (Jason Hibbler), Traci Thelen (Billy Thelen) and Michael Couch (Grace Couch); her grandchildren, Bailey Thelen, Samantha Couch, Kelly Couch, Kaitlyn Thelen and Levi Couch; and her sisters, Judy Hunt and Syndie Bayley. She is also survived by many other relatives, friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Lexington Cemetery (5900 Co Rd 326, Lexington, TX 78947). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 20th 2024 at the Shiloh Baptist Church (100 Co Rd 481, Thrall, TX 76578).
