He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Jo Archer; his children, James Darren Archer (Donna) and Lisa Sandifer; his son-in-law Mike; his brother Joe Archer (Margaret); his sister-in-law Brenda Hibbs; his grandchildren, James Brandon Archer, Randi, Will Sandifer (Katie) and Kaci Carter (Tanner); his great grandchildren, Ashley Fritsche (Blake), Kylie Rieger, Caden Huckabay, James Cohen Archer, Mason Newcomer, Jaxie Jo and Lake Carter; his great great grandchild Case Fritsche; and his nieces, Tracy McDaniel, Elizabeth Anstey and Allison Troupe.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Providence Jones Funeral Home (604 State Hwy 95, Elgin, TX 78621).
The family would like to ask that in lieu of flowers you consider at donation to the Elgin Church of Christ (elgincoc.net) and/or the Lifeline Chaplaincy Organization (lifelinechaplaincy.org), both of which were very dear to James.
