It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Horace Lee Allert of Lexington, Texas, born in Gonzales, Texas, who passed away on June 26, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Roswell Allert Sr. and Mittie Allert (Brown); his wife Margaret Allert; his grandson Ty Hunter Allert II; and his siblings, James R. Allert Jr., Arthur Allert, Robert Allert, Vernon Allert, Charles Allert, Betsy Allert, Doris Allert and Fannie Lee Watts.
He is survived by: his son Ty; his daughter-in-law Merry Allert of Lexington; his grandsons, Chase (Shannon Allert), Aaron Allert of Lexington and Luke Allert of Lexington; and his brother John Allert of Gonzales. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
