He was predeceased by: his parents, Morrell Stewart and Josephine Stewart; and his mother-in-law Diane Mendenhall. He is survived by: his wife Stephanie; his children, Lacey Poynter (Scott Poynter) and Richard Stewart; his grandsons, Jaxson Poynter, Richard Stewart II and Thomas Stewart; his brother Ed; his sisters-in-law, Kim and Terresa; his sister Maureen Wells; his brother-in-law Jimmy (Lynn Pope); his father-in-law Richard Mendenhall; and his siblings-in-law, Steve Mendenhall and Sharon Martin (Tim).
