He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Ann Schildt; and his brother Mike. He is survived by: his father Wayne Schildt; his wife Kathy Jarrard; his children, Stephanie Schildt Lopez, Steven and Stuart Schildt; his stepson Joshua; and his siblings, Mark and Jenny. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
