He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sheila Phipps; his stepchildren, Clay (Shalee), Wayne (Brenda), Trice (Rick) and Heather (Scott); his grandchildren, Nicole, Clay (Lauren), Jacob (Lore), Shane, Ashley (Desmond) and Scottie; his great grandchildren, Claire, Jayden, Corbin, Aubri and Kameron; his parents, S. P. Phipps and Maggie Goforth; and his son James Allen Phipps.
