Ethel Sebastian Obituary

Ethel "Florence" Sebastian, age 94, died on Nov 29, 2023, in Lewisville, TX. Florence was born in Woburn, MA in 1929, and grew up in Bedford, MA until she married Willam "Bill" Sebastian during his 3-day Air Force pass in Rapid City, SD in 1950. Bill and Florence enjoyed many happy adventures throughout their 63 years together, living in Massachusetts, Alaska, and many places in Texas.

She is survived by her loving family: her daughter, Charlotte Rivera and her husband, Francisco, and her wonderful grandchildren, Phillip and Sophia, all of Lewisville, TX. She will be fondly remembered by many friends and neighbors and her extended family throughout Massachusetts, as well as her two cats, Elmer and Twerp.

We will celebrate Florence's life on Saturday, December 16, 2023, in Cisco, Texas where she and Bill retired and called home for 25 years.

Rosary will be 9:00 to 9:45 AM, and visitation from 9:45 to 10:30 AM, at the Kimbrough-Jacobs Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM at Oakwood Cemetery.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________, A special message from Florence's daughter, Charlotte. I have some sad news to share. My precious mom, Florence Sebastian, who turned 94 on Nov 20, passed away Wednesday evening, Nov 29.

She steadily declined over the last couple of months, so while I'm heartbroken to no longer have her with us physically, I'm truly grateful she's free now. Of course, she'll live in our hearts forever.

I am so blessed to have had such a truly wonderful person as my Mom and as the Grandma for our kids.

She was one of my very best friends in this world, my fiercest advocate , my biggest cheerleader/supporter, my sounding board, and my trusted confidante and advisor. She was kind and loving with a heart of gold who never met a stranger. She made everyone around her feel good. ❤️. She was a great conversationalist and we literally have always joked she could get a signpost to talk with her.

Of course, while she was almost always super sweet, she was also tough as nails and would take no prisoners if you were at odds with her (fortunately I was rarely at odds with her). She also had her fair share of Irish stubbornness, sarcasm, and wit (traits I seemed to have inherited, along with her crappy knees).

She was married to my Dad (who passed in 2013) for 63 years and what adventures they experienced together.
