Joy Wheeler Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joy Wheeler of Levelland, Texas, born in Mountain View, Oklahoma, who passed away on January 6, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her sons, Van Allen, George Randall and Vernon David; her grandchildren, Neil, Nikki, Nate, Blake, David and Brian; her parents, Art Doren and Clara Van Doren; her sisters, Mildred Harguess, Sylvia Simon and Carol McRee; her grandfather Charlie Lorenzo Van Doren; and her husband George. She was also cherished by eleven great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Hockley County Meals on Wheels.
