He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicolas Tienda and Sara Flores; his wife Rosemary Tienda; his son Victor Tienda; and his brothers, Juan Tienda and Nicolas Tienda.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jessica Gonzalez (Luiz), Erma Tienda, Jasmine Tienda and Mary Alice Hernandez (Manuel); and his siblings, Cruz Tienda, Paul Tienda, David Tienda, Lupe Tienda, Henry Tienda, Helen Quintanilla, Sally Ochoa and Janie Corrales. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
