He was predeceased by: his father James Richard Altman; his wife Margaret Altman; his mother Mary A. Forbus; his stepfather Bud Forbus; and his siblings, Sue Forbus and Jimmy Altman.
He is survived by: his children, Denisa Hagg (Albert) of Nunn, Alan Altman (Angie) of Lubbock, Carol Lawson (Alton) of Levelland, Dana Davis (Terry) of Fort Stockton and James D. Altman (Amanda) of Levelland; and his half-brother Randy Forbus (Rebecca) of Plains. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
