He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Jackson and Velma Scoggins; his brothers, Leon Jackson and Don Jackson; and his sons, Jimmy Tim Jackson and Jon Lee Jackson.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his brother Danny "Corky" Jackson (Eva); his sons, Joel Jackson (Cindy) and Kerry Hatley (Angie); and his grandchildren, Jami Bevins, Meagan Kennemer, Jenny Jackson, Jason Jackson, Kris Hatley, Kyler Hatley and Kaden Hatley.
