He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Black and Eunice Black; his wife Carita Jarrett; his son Wayne; and his brother Max Black.
He is survived by: his children, Carol Beth Dyess (Blane) of Vealmoor, TX. and Craig (Stacie) of Levelland, TX.; and his grandson Landon Ellis (Carol) of Granby, CO.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (401 Houston St, Levelland, TX 79336). A burial was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at the Levelland Cemetery (1500 Ave H, Levelland, TX 79336).
