He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter James "Walt" Smith and Lula Campbell Smith; his son Billy Mark Smith; and his siblings, James Walter Smith and Betsy Jordan.
He is survived by: his wife Gayle; his son Jay; his daughter-in-law Celia Smith of Ruidoso, NM; his daughter Melissa Jenkins of Levelland; his grandchildren, Patrick Smith of Ruidoso and Courtney Jenkins of Lubbock; his great grandchild Grayson Jenkins of Lubbock; and his brother Glen Smith of Levelland. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.
Due to the Covid19 pandemic and the recent mandate as outlined by the Governor's office, there will be limited seating and all who choose to attend will be required by the family to wear face masks.
