He is survived by: his wife Fredda Stanley; his son Gregory Stanley; his sister Joann Markum of Ft; his children, Tara Thrash of Lubbock, Carrie Donart of Arlington, Tracie Petrie of Lewisville and Greg; and also, Levelland and Fredda.

In lieu of flowers, Gene has requested that donations be made to the Gene and Fredda Stanley scholarship foundation at South Plains College.
