He was loved and cherished by many people including: his brother Joseph Johnson; his parents, Odis Lonzo and Georgie Latimer Vandargriff; his wife Mary Vandergriff of Leonard; his children, Jim Bob, Billie Ann Vandergriff of Pensacola, Shannon Cotten (Charles) of Leonard, Danny Vandargriff of Las Vegas and Regina Vandargriff of California; his siblings, G. L., Threeca Vandargriff of Bolivar, TX., Bobby, Chris Vandargriff of Allen, Dora Mae, Tom Hackney of Leonard and Lynda Rosson of Missouri; his stepchildren, Stacy Reyes of Dallas, Nina Valdez of Rowlett, Isaac Almendarez of Dallas and Amanda Almendarez of Wolfe City; and his siblings, Oleta Vandergriff and Danny Ray Vandergriff. He was also cherished by his 22 grandchildren and his 7 great-grandchildren.
