He was predeceased by: his mother Francisca Valdez; his wife Emilia Valdez; his father Mariano Valdez; his siblings, Juan Valdez, Guadalupe Valdez (Wally), Hilario Valdez, Eusebio Valdez, Asuncion Trevino and Selia Sorola; and his parents-in-law, Ben and Agnes Hernandez.
He is survived by: his children, Martha Fuentes (Felix), Teresa Deitrick (Jimmy), Sara Silva (Manuel), Alex Valdez (Monica), Marcus Valdez, David Valdez (Martha), Victor Valdez (Susan), Valdemar Valdez (Gloria), Guadalupe Valdez, Sandra Garcia (Alfred), Cynthia Valdez and Emma Robles, Jr. (Alex); his children-in-law, Monica Flores and Andy Garcia; and his siblings, Petra Valdez and Robert Valdez. He is also survived by 51 grandchildren; 106 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
