He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Flores and Sofia Flores. He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Flores, Abel Flores, Jr. (Norma), Laura Hernandez (Michael), JoAnne Servin and Irene Flores (Jerry Gonzalez); and his siblings, Fidel Flores, Aurelio Flores, Jessie, Junior and Lupe Luna. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
