She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Dee and Elta Deverell Hood; her husband Robert Earl Cook; her son Jackie McElhaney; her grandson Dakota McElhaney; her brothers, John Dee Hood and Warren Hood; and her brother-in-law Terry Crocker.
She is survived by: her children, JD (Claudia McElhaney) of Leesburg, TX and Holly (Robin Bradford) of Pittsburg, TX; her grandchildren, Trever Bassinger, Emily Parr, Cheyenne Reynolds, Hanna Mata and Collen Bradford; her great grandchildren, Eli, Kasen, Brynlee, Grayson and Alyvia; her siblings, Dennis (Patty Hood) and Nelda Crocker; her sisters-in-law, Judy Hood and Sherry Wallace; her sister Arlene Cook; and her stepchildren, Shane, Lane, Donna and Cynthia. She is also survived by numerous step grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
