He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Donsel Leroy Champ and Mary Ellen Finch; his wife Julia Bishop of Leander; his son Preston Creed; his daughter-in-law Aemilia Macias of Leander; his siblings, Bonnie Rodriguez (Joey) of El Paso and Clark Champ of California; his former wife Kimberly Champ; and his children, Stewart and Rachel.
He learned to ice skate at the age of 63, and at the beginning of the pandemic, he shared his backyard with chickens, bees and a small urban garden.
