She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Alfonso Pereira and Otilia Gomez Pereira; her husband William Hasewinkle; her daughter Susan Lee; her stepchildren, William C. Hasewinkle, Virginia Hasewinkle-Niño and Marina Valenzuela; her nephew Alvaro Pereira; her sister Yolanda Pereira; and her friend Ecuador. She was also cherished by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.
Because they not want to put anyone at risk, the family will delay her memorial service until after the current global pandemic ends.
