He was predeceased by: his father Juan Soto Garza; and his sister Diamantina Garza. He is survived by: his mother Elizabeth Rojas Garza; his wife Carolina Garza; his sisters, Nereida Muniz (Gaspar), Naomi Garza (D. C.) and Imelda Garza (Dee); and his grandchildren, Khalil, Nefile and Malachi.
