He was predeceased by: his parents, Comer Slaton and Lillian Fails Slaton; and his siblings, Zuma Austin and Leon Slaton. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ray of Cordell; and his children, Melinda, Jeff, Terry and Mike. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
