She was predeceased by: her parents, Joel Lamar Parish of Huntsville and Mary Luella Duncan of Kingsville; and her brothers, Michael Duncan Parish and Joel Lamar Parish II. She is survived by: her husband George Marcel Kenty; her children, Michelle of Toronto, Joel (Margaret) of Austin and Rebecca Danielle of Phoenix; her grandchildren, Mohamed (D. J.), Andrew, Keagan, Kaijah, Joelle and Leila; her brother Jose Sentmanat (Chiqui) of Conroe; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Leith Parish of College Station and Barbara Hill Parish of Austin. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She enjoyed giving, 'just because' gifts, and made anonymous contributions through monetary donations, provisions of groceries, clothing, and even school tuition to strangers as well as to friends of her children.
